Dhaka’s one of the most popular Club Mohammedan Sporting Club who are in danger of being deducted points as per FIFA ‘s instruction has sent the money to their former Nigerian Coach Emeka Ezeugo.
Salam Murshedi, who is Chairman of Bangladesh Professional League and Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) told BSS over phone that MSC has sent the fine money as per FIFA’s instruction to Emeka on Sunday.
He added that hopefully Emeka will be getting his money after completing the local bank formalities within day or two. ” MSC has informed both FIFA and BFF regarding this issue and MSC later will appeal to FIFA not to deduct the points as they have now given Emeka his previous salary with fine 22,000 US Dollars imposed by them, .” said Salam.
Earlier on Saturday, the executive committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) failed to take any concrete decision to implement FIFA’s instruction of deducting points from Mohammedan Sporting Club’s ongoing campaign in the Bangladesh Premier League.
BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag talking to reporters said, “After that we will try to convince FIFA to reconsider their verdict of deducting three points from Mohammedan’s tally.”
FIFA, in a letter on November 30, asked the BFF to deduct three points from the club’s tally for its failure to clear payments to Emeka.
