Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club returned to the winning way beating Farashganj Sporting Club by 2-1 goals in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier League at Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Saturday.
Mohammedan took the lead in the 40th minute of the match when midfielder Mobarak Hossain rushed into the box with a long ball and placed it towards the post, onrushing Farashganj goalie Sujan Chowdhury punched it, but the ball fell into the feet of Mohammedan forward Touhidul Alam Sobuj, Sobuj placed the ball into the empty net, 1-0.
Nigerian forward Akinyele Peter equalised in the 51st minute breaking the off-side trap and placed the ball past Mohammedan goalie Nehal, 1-1.
Ismael Bangoura sealed the win scoring second goal for Mohammedan SC in the very next minute heading a Jewel Rana cross in the middle of the post, 2-1.
Mohammedan earned nine points from five matches while Farashganj is still to earn any point from four matches.
Mohammedan earlier lost to Sheikh Russell and Brothers Union.
