Indira Gandhi Culture Centre is organising an evening of Nazrul Geeti and modern Bangla songs by Mridula Samadder on November 28.
“The function will be held at 6.30 pm in the IGCC at House No. 35, Road No. 24, Gulshan-1, Dhaka,” an Indian High Commission press release said.
Mridula Samadder, an enlisted artist of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar, completed her Masters from Dhaka University Music Department and presently doing her M. Phil from the same department.
She participated in many musical competitions like Shikkha Soptaha 2003,
‘ATN Taroka 2006’ and won many awards including SAARC Children Award 2000 and National Awards.
Mridula Samadder is associated with many cultural organizations. She is the present cultural secretary of ‘Jatiya Khelagor Asar’ and a member of ‘Joyoddhoni’.
She has released several solo and mixed albums and performed as a playback singer in different Bengali films and dramas.
