MPs opinion on crossfire for rapists are personal matters:Quader

Staff Reporter: Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that MPs demand to crossfire for the rapists at the parliament are their individual opinions.
“It was their own speeches. It was not represented the stance of their parties or the government,” Obaidul Quader said while addressing a press briefing at his office at the secretariat in the capital.
Some MPs from AL and opposition Jatiya Party are demanded crosssfire for the rapists at the parliamentary session on January 14.
AL senior law maker Tofail Ahmed, JP MPs Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Kazi Firoz Rashid included them.
They also asked on the government to amend the existing law to incorporate a provision for death penalty for rapists to stop the reckless rape incidents in the country.
