MPs hopeful middle-income BD by 2021

Treasury and opposition bench embers pressed their hope that Bangladesh would become a middle-income country by 2021 as the present government is relentlessly working for advancing the national economy in a faster pace by speeding up development in all sectors.
The lawmakers made the assertion while taking part in the discussion on the President’s speech in parliament.
Thanking the President, the parliament members said his speech was a statement that amply focused on the tremendous development already done in the overall economy during the last eight years.
They paid heartfelt tributes to the memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibbur Rahman, four national leaders, martyred freedom fighters and also those who had made supreme sacrifices during the War of Liberation and all subsequent democratic movements in the country.
The lawmakers said the tremendous development carried outcontinuously in all sectors has raised the living standard of all in
Bangladesh and earned appreciation from the international community for the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
They said the development programmes of the present government are being considered as a role model across the world.
Praising the President for delivering a time-befitting and visionary speech in the Jatiya Sangsad on January 22, the said the country has already achieved success in the health, electricity, education, agriculture, food, communications, science and technology, industries, women and children sectors under the bold and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
