A district court granted bail to Awami League MP from Tangail-3 (Ghatail) constituency Amanur Rahman Khan Rana in a case filed for attempting to murder of a Bangladesh Chhatra League leader Abu Sayeed Rubel.

Court Golam Kibria passed the order on Thursday.
Meanwhile, officer-in-charge of district DB police Ashoke Kumar Singh confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
On May 3, sub-inspector of DB police Shamsul Islam filed a petition to arrest MP Rana. The following Thursday, the court gave the order of his arrest.
Abu Sayeed Rubel, also, Vice-President (VP) of Ghatail GBG College student’s commttee, was seriously stabbed by a group of miscreants on November 9, 2016.
Later, a case was lodged, in which an accused by the name Abdul Jabbar Babu confessed to MP Rana’s involvement in the attempt murder on December 20, 2016.
