MP Aslamul seeks time to ACC to clear his stance

Mohammad Aslamul Haque, MP from Dhaka-14, requested the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to give him time so that he can clear about his wealth and properties, sources said.
Sources say, the commission received a letter from him on Thursday, stating his desire to meet the commission on January 27.
On Wednesday, ACC authorised its seven officials to investigate into the wealth and properties of former and incumbent seven ministers and MPs.
They will conduct investigation against Prof Dr A F M Ruhal Haque,
former Health and Planning Minister, Abdul Mannan Khan, former State Minister for Housing and Public Works, Mahbubur Rahman, former State Minister for Water and Resources, Enamul Haque, former MP from Rajshahi Constituency-4, Abdul Jabbar, former MP from a Constituency of Satkhira, Abdur Rahman Bodi, MP from Chittagong Constituency-4 [Ukhia-Teknaf] and Aslamul Haque, MP from Dhaka Constituency-14.
The investigation officials are Deputy Directors (DD) Mirza Zahidul Alam, Khairul Huda, Ahsan Ali, Nasiruddin, Syed Fayad Alam, Tahsinul Haque and Assistant Director Masudur Rahman.
Some newspapers and TVs reported about the unusual accumulation of huge wealth by the ministers and MPs.
