Mozid Mahmud’s literary capitals of Bengal in C’wealth’s Adda

Noted poet and novelist Mozid Mahmud has recently been published by the Commonwealth Foundation’s prestigious literary forum Adda. His essay “The Literary Capitals of Bengal” chronicles the literary centers of both ends of Bengal from a historical perspective.
Author of Mahfuzamangal, among many other titles, Mahmud is the author of 50 books. His latest novel Memorial Club had won the Book of the Year Award from Bangladesh Writer’s Club. The essay has been translated by Rafee Shaams and is available to read on the journal’s website.
Mozid Mahmud’s works have previously been translated to English, French, Chinese and Hindi. His research on Nazrul has been acclaimed, notably his bookNazrul – The Spokesman of the Third World. He also works at social development, serving as the Executive Director of Organization for Social Advancement & Cultural Activities (OSACA), a non-government organization.
