Mozammel wins highest Indian Scouts award

Dr Md Mozammel Haque Khan, the chief national commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, has won the highest award of Indian Scouts and Guides, “The Silver Elephant”, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the international scouting.
Indian President Pranab Mukherjee handed over the award in a simple ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhaban in New Delhi on February 16, a press release said here on Tuesday.
Earlier, Dr Haque, also the president of Amra Scout Group, has been honoured with the “Tamaru Award of the Philippines”, the top award of Boy Scouts of the Philippines, in 2014 and the
“Silver Tiger,” the highest award of Bangladesh Scouts, in 2008.
Dr Haque is now currently serving as the senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In his distinguished career, he also served as the secretary of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts, the Ministry of Communication and the IMED Division and senior secretary of Energy and Mineral Resources Division with utmost efficiency, the release added.
