The government has taken initiatives to fill up the vacant posts of all ministries, divisions and the organisations under them, Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam said on Wednesday.
“Request letters have already been sent to all ministries, divisions and the organisations under them to fill up their vacant posts fast,” he said in reply to a starred question from treasury bench member Md Golam Rabbani (Chapainawabganj-1).
The minister informed the House that three lakh 59 thousand 261 posts are lying vacant in different ministries and divisions.
Of them, he said, the number of class one posts are 48,246, the class two posts 54,294, the class three posts 1,83,737 and the class four posts are 73,984.
Ashraful further said manpower is recruited in the grade 9-12 (class 1 & 2) through the Public Service Commission following the demands of different ministries/divisions and the offices under them.
