In 1979, with the movie titled The Father, today’s veteran filmmaker Kazi Hayat made his directorial debut in the country’s film industry. Till today, he has made 49 movies. His last made movie was Chhinnomul.
This time Kazi Hayat is going to make yet another movie titled Ghum in the beginning of the New Year, which will be produced by Impress Telefilm. Moushumi will act in the lead role in the movie. It will be 50th movie directed by Kazi Hayat.
Viewers’ choice popular actress Mousumi has been selected for playing the central role in Ghum. Mousumi’s involvement in the film was finalised last week. In fact, Moushumi is very excited with the opportunity of acting in the 50th film of noted director Kazi Hayat.
Mousumi acted under the direction of Kazi Hayat for the first time in the movie Luttoraj opposite late actor Manna in 1997. Then, she acted under the same director in the film Aammajaan in 1999, Koshto, Bortoman and Itihash in 2000, and last time in Minister in 2003. Now again, after 13 years, Mousumi will act under the direction of Kazi Hayat.
While sharing her feelings in this regard Mousumi told this correspondent, “This is truly my good fortune that I am going to play in the 50th film of a brilliant director like Kazi Hayat. Meanwhile, I have heard the story of Ghum and felt wonderful. The most fascinating part of working with him is that the story and dialogue are always awesome. I am optimistic about the film as I think it would be a new challenge for me in the New Year.”
Kazi Hayat shared his feelings by this way, “As time passes by, I have spent 37 years in the film industry. I never thought that I would make my 50th film with success. Thanks to Impress Telefilm for being by my side. My heartiest thanks to Mousumi as she agreed to work in the film even after knowing that Ghum is not a commercial film.”
Meanwhile, Moushumi informed that she acted and directed movie Shunnyo Hridoy, Shimul directed Leader and Habib directed Ratrir Jatri are waiting to release soon.
Therefore, shooting of a song of Moushumi acted and Ferdous produced movie Postmaster 71 is yet to be finished, she added.
