On March 25, Friday of 1993, viewers for the first time watched today’s popular film actress Moushumi on the screen in movie Keyamat Theke Keyamat. It was made by Sohanur Rahman Sohan and it was produced under the banner of Ananda Mela Cinema Ltd. Late popular hero Salman Shah paired up with Moushumi in that movie. By her first acted movie Moushumi won the hearts of many film lovers. From releasing date of Keyamat Theke Keyamat to till date Moushumi has turned into 24 years of her acting career. In these times, she acted in many hit movies and also got the National Film Award for three times. She has also made movie.
While sharing her feelings to complete 24 years of her career in big screen Moushumi told this correspondent, “I couldn’t realise how I have passed so many years in film industry. Today I am thinking about my father. I am also recalling my first her Salman Shah and Manna Bhai’s names. I am also grateful to Chanchal Mahmud Bhai who first saw me in his photo frame and later Rafiqur Rahman Reku Bhai. I am also grateful to Head of Cassandra Ltd Shakib Lohani, director Sohan Bhai, and I got the National Film Awards to work in their movie like Chashi Bhai, Nargis Apa and Raj. I am also giving thanks to different cine magazines and late Awlad Bhai. My mother and two sisters – Irin and Snigdha who always gave me support. And that person by whom I couldn’t come into present position without his assistance – he is my husband, Omar Sani. Everybody pray for my two children.”
Once Moushumi got huge popularity among the viewers as a model in a TVC of Sundori Print Saree which was directed by Afzal Hossain.
Meanwhile, Moushumi informed that she is now working in Montazur Rahman Akbar’s movie Dulabhai Jindabad and AK Sohel’s Pobitro Bhalobasha.
