Popular film celebrity couple Moushumi and Omar Sunny for the first time worked together in late Dilip Shome’s movie ‘Dola’ as a pair. It was released 1994. On November 2 in 1993, Omar Sunny gifted a gold chain to Moushumi before day of her birthday during the shooting of Raihan Mujib directed movie ‘Atmo Ahankar.’ Shooting of the movie was going on at Jointapur in Sylhet. From that time, Moushumi and Omar Sunny started to love each other. In fact, from that time they started to work together in the big screen.
In last 23 years, Moushumi and Omar Sunny worked together in 40 movies. This time they are working together for the 41st time. They are acting together in Bodiul Alam Khokon’s movie ‘Harjit,’ which story was written by Kashem Ali Dulal. Shooting of the film began at Swapnil-3, a shooting house in the city’s Uttara area, on September 22.
In the movie, Moushumi and Omar Sunny are acting together in role of husband -wife. For the first time, they are working as a pair under Bodiul Alam Khokon’s direction.
While talking about the movie Omar Sunny said, “Earlier I worked in Khokon’s ‘Rajababu’ movie. It was a nice film. I got huge response from it. That was my last acted movie with Diti Apa. I am also working with Moushumi. We are as usual playing the role of husband-wife in this movie. It is a nice story based movie. Khokon is working cordially. I am very much optimistic about this film.”
National Film Award winner actress Moushumi shared her feelings by this way, “Under Khokon Bhai’s direction I earlier worked with late Manna Bhai in movie ‘Rustam.’ Later I couldn’t get the scope to work with him. After many years I have been working under his direction. I am enjoying because we are working in very much organised way in the shooting. We are together it is a great relief for us. Story of ‘Harjit’ is nice. In fact, now I give priority to story and my role while working in any movie. When my mind does not agree to work I never proceed.”
It is noted that Moushumi-Omar Sunny acted last movie was Shahin Sumon’s ‘Shaheb Namey Golam.’ It was released in 2009. Later after a break of seven years, they worked together in late Belal Ahmed’s movie ‘Bhalobasboi To.’ It already has the censor certificate.
