Moushumi and Omar Sani (original name is Mohammad Omar Sunny) is not only a popular pair in the big screen but also a happy couple in real life. On May 11, Commitment Cultural Academy will honour them as the best pair in showbiz. Moushumi and Omar Sani will receive the Commitment Personality Award. It was confirmed by founder president of the organization Md Yunus Talukder Raju and its general secretary Tanjila Akhter Pew yesterday.
While sharing his feelings over mobile phone from Bhola Omar Sani told this correspondent, “More than 20 years I and Moushumi have been working together and we are really feeling glad after knowing the news. We are really grateful to the organizers to honour us.”
Moushumi shared her feelings by this way, “It will be really a memorable moment in my life that I will receive the National Film Award and along with Omar Sani will also get another special award as Best Pair on May 11. Right now I am missing Fardin a lot. I am grateful to Commitment Cultural Academy in this regard.”
Meanwhile, on May 11 Moushumi is also going to receive the National Film Award again in category of Best Actress for Mostafa Kamal Raj’s movie Tarkata. Earlier she got the National Film Award for Nargis Akhter’s Meghla Akash and late Chashi Nazrul Islam’s movie Devdas.
It may be me mentioned that Moushumi tied the nuptial knot with hero Omar Sani on August 2 in 1996 after a successful affair.
As a pair, their first acted movie was Dola, which was released in 1994. Later this popular pair presented many hit movies like Atmo Ahankar, Prothom Prem, Muktir Sangram, Harano Prem, Goriber Rani, Priyo Tumi, Sukher Swargo, Mitthya Ahankar, Ghat Protighat, Lojja, Kotha Dao, Sneher Badhon, Shaheb Namey Golam, Bhalobashboi To, etc.
