Popular celebrity couple of the country’s film industry, Moushumi and Omar Sani started to take part in shooting of a new movie after taking a long time break due to corona pandemic. On September 15, they took part in shooting of a movie titled Sonar Char at Khatib Khamar Bari of Hotapara in Gazipur under the direction of Zahid Hossain. Story, script and dialogue of
the film were also written by director Zahid Hossain. While talking about giving direction of the movie Zahid Hossain said, “In this movie, Omar Sani has broken himself regarding his character like previous time. He is playing the role of a lathiyal. At one stage
of the story of the movie, leg of that lathiyal breaks down and Omar Sani is acting outstandingly well
in role of a dumb person. I believe Omar Sani
will portray his role properly and will create
an example among the other actors.”
Omar Sani shared his feelings by this way, “I was informed about this movie for last three years. Though it may not become a top class film in the world but by this movie viewers will find Bangladesh and its soil.
I am trying to break myself in this movie playing the role of a dumb person who is a lathiyal. I am glad because I got the opprtunity to work with Moushumi again in the movie. I want Zahid Bhai works regularly as a director. Overall, I believe a good cinema means
to present the country at all.”
Actress Moushumi said, “I made a nice bondage between director and actress while working with Zahid Bhai in his movie Matrittwo. During taking part in the shooting of Matrittwo, I was busy but gave my schedules for this movie from own liking. For this
reason, a nice film was made. I am taking part in the shooting of Sonar Char at that house where I took part in shooting of Matrittwo. So, I can recall many memories. Zahid Bhai always makes movie based on rural environment and he has intention to tell stories of
local cinemas. In his script, there are some learning messages and tales of life stories. For this reason,
viewers enjoy to watch his directed movies. I hope in case of Sonar Char, this thing will also be happened. Sani’s role is very much challenging. Earlier, he did
not act in such role. His interest to play this role impressed me a lot. All of us are trying to give our level best effort to make a successful movie.”
