Moushumi Barua started her career in media as a video jockey (VJ) or special anchor at Channel i on October 1 in 2000. From that time to till date she has been passed 14 years in the channel only hosting different programmes. But she has no pain in this regard. Because she believes that only programme hosting or presentation she has reached into the hearts of many viewers. By this hosting she has become a popular face to all. Moushumi will reach into 15 years of her hosting in Channel i on October 1. From the beginning of her career she has been hosting different live programmes like daily celebrity talk show Citycell Tarokakothon, Gaan-e Gaan-e Sokal Shuru, Walton Ghorey Ghorey Aamader Ponnyo Gaan-er Utsab, etc on Channel i. Due to Moushumi’s outstanding and lively presentation those programmes became popular to the viewers. After three years of her joining in Channel i Moushumi also started to work as a producer. Daughter of Samir Barua and Jhorna Barua Moushumi is also a family member of popular singer and TV actor Partho Barua. But Moushumi never tried to use the name of Partho while working in media. She has come into this position only for her own capacity.While talking about her present position in media Moushumi told this correspondent, “I am really satisfied with my present position in media. I am very much happy in this regard. I am enjoying hosting. After my parents I am grateful to two persons. They are – Shykh Seraj and Faridur Reza Sagor. Therefore, I am also grateful to members of Channel i, my family members and my fans.”
