August 21 grenade attack: Mourned family members demand speedy trial, capital punishments to god fathers

Mourned family members of the August 21, 2004 grenade attack victims in Barisal region, BCL central leader Mushtak Ahmed Sentu at Muladi of Barisal and activist Md. Mamun at Dshamina of Patuakhali, observed the day expressing their frustration over lengthy trial process.
They demanded speedy trial, fair investigation and capital punishments of the killers and their God Fathers to save the country from repeating of such kind of terrorism in future
On other hand, Barisal City Awami League on Thursday noon organising a discussion meeting at party office on Thursday demanded speedy trial and punishment of the August 21 attackers.
They demanded revealing real facts of such an open attack in day lights by fair investigation and punishing the criminals of the barbarous killers and their godfathers.
City AL Secretary Adv Afzalul Karim presided over the programme addressed by Jebunnesa Afroj, AL lawmaker, Advocate K B S Ahmed Kabir, K M Jahangir Hossain, Nizamul Islam Nizam and other leaders of the party and front organiztions.
Mustafizur Rahman Nilu, brother, said as a dedicated AL activist Sentu left home for organizing the meeting successful on August 20 and not returned alive as killed in the blast on August 21, 2004, the day of their seventh, marriage anniversary.
Mushtak Ahmed Sentu buried at family graveyard in Ramarpole village of Kazirchar-Najirpur union in Muladi upazila under Barisal district.
