Sadia Islam Mou always feels comfortable to give her identity as a dancer. Besides dancer, Mou is also one of the reputed models in the country and an actress. After a long 22 years, she is going to perform outside the country with a government troupe.
Mou left Dhaka along with a troupe to perform in 12th Migrants’ Arirang Multicultural Festival which is scheduled to be kicked off today in Korea. Seven including Mou will perform in the festival on September 29 and 30 and October 1. Besides Mou, Farhana Chowdhury Belly, Farhana Khan, Hena Hosein, Supriya Shabnam Protibha, Abdur Rashid Swapan, Latifur Rahman Faruki and Wahiduddin Naim will also perform in the festival.
Due to maintaining her family Mou was detached with acting for some years. Last few years she again returned to acting. During this time though she travelled in different countries as a dancer to perform but those were private participation. After long 22 years she is travelling with a government team.
While talking in this regard Mou told this correspondent, “After marriage, I was engaged or gave time to my husband and children so I couldn’t be able to visit with government troupes. It is really a pride for us to perform these eight persons on behalf of our country. It is really a joyful matter. Biplab Saha and I have designed costumes for this team.”
In last Eid, Mou acted with Sweety and Tania Ahmed in a special play titled Take A Break under direction of Arif Khan.
