A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Jahangirnagar University (JU) and Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) on Tuesday on the campus.
JU Treasurer Prof Dr. Abul Khair and Honorary Executive Director of BLAST Advocate Sarah Hossain signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
Under this MoU the teachers and students of JU will provide legal aid service to the marginalized communities and a ‘Law Clinic Course’ will be conducted by them for providing legal aid advice to the general people.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Farzana Islam, Dean of Law faculty Prof Dr. Sheikh Manjarul Haque, Proctor Prof Dr. Tapan Kumer Shaha and Chairman of Law and Justice Department Rabiul Islam were present at the MoU signing function among others.
