MoU on Ctg Elevated Expressway signed

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the city watchdog Chittagong Development Authority and the Chinese National construction company was signed on Sunday at Dhaka for construction of 25- kilomerter long Elevated expressway (EEW) from Shah Amanat International airport to Shah Amanat Bridge point connecting the under constructed Muradpur-Lalkhan bazaar flyover , CDA sources said.
Estimated cost of Tk.3000 cr wil be spent for the construction of EEW. Out of total budget of the EEW , CPA will provide Tk.600 cr and the remaining Tk.2400 cr will assist by the Chinese National Technology Engineering Corporation .
 The proposed length of the AEW was 18 kilometers but later it was extended to 25 km for joining the largest flyover of Muradpur-Lalkhan Bazaar. The 4-lane 60 feet wide EEW will be completed by 36 months. This ever longest flyover(AEW) will have provisions of 6 outlets of exist and entrance .
 Chairman of CDA Abdus Salam and the President of China National Engr. Corporation Mr. Woen Zonglin signed the MoU on respective sides in the conference of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works in Dhaka. Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr.Moshraf Hossain was also present on the occasion.
 Among others, Secretary of the Ministry Md. Moinuddin Abdullah, Joint Secretary M.d. ArifurRahman, Member of CPA Board Nazrul Islam, Mr. Shanchan, Mr. Cwan Ziang, Mr.Wang Too, CDA Board Member Younusgani, Chief Engneer of CDA were also present.
