In order to promote education, culture and research, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between University of Dhaka (DU) and University of Burdwan, India was signed on Wednesday at a ceremony held at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of DU.
Treasurer of DU Prof Dr Md. Kamal Uddin and Pro-Vice Chancellor of University of Burdwan, Dr Shorosimohan Dan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Professor of the Department of the History Mesbah Kamal and Acting Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman were present on the occasion.
According to the MoU, Dhaka University and University of Burdwan will jointly organize seminars and academic meetings and conduct short term academic programs, inter-disciplinary and result oriented research activities and field studies. The two universities will also exchange faculty members, scholars, academic information and research materials.
