Dhaka University (DU) and the AIMST University of Malaysia will start joint collaborative research programs, including mutual exchange of students, researchers and faculty-members soon.
An official familiar to the process told BSS that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will sign between the two respective universities very soon in this respect.
The official said the decision was taken at a meeting when Dr Kazi Selim Anwar, Professor of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, AIMST University, Kedah, Malaysia on Tuesday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university.
Dr. Altaf Hussain, Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS) of DU was present on the occasion.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the guest for his visit to and interest about Dhaka University.
