A motorcyclist was killed and his son injured in a road accident in the city’s Shyamoli area on Sunday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Yunus, 38, police said.
Quoting the witnesses, Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter and said that a roughly driven passenger bus knocked a motorbike down in the area at around 4:00pm, leaving the motorcyclist dead on the spot and his minor son injured critically.
The driver had managed to flee from the spot instantly, the SI said.
The injured was rushed to a local hospital, he further said.
