Motorcycle was burnt and school was ransacked following the expulsion of five SSC examinees for adopting unfairmeans at the examination center in Mehendiganj upazila town in Barisal district on Tuesday afternoon.
Laily Begum, center secretary of Patarhut Girls School examination center, said examination of general mathematics was held on Tuesday.
A vigilance team of Barisal Education Board visiting the center expelled 5 examinees for adopting unfair means from this examination center on Tuesday noon.
However Abdur Rashid, one of the examinees, alleged that visiting vigilance team failing to find any copy from possessions of the examinees expelled five of them founding some copies at the corner of the examination hall.
This step made the examinees agitated and after ending the examination they broke glasses of windows at the examination rooms, threw brick bats on transports passing in front of the center, set fire on motorcycle of rural poverty eradication officer Shafikul Islam Chowdhury, a member of the vigilance team.
