Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan said that the country’s existing Motor Vehicle Act would be made time befitting.
“The communication sector has made tremendous progress over the years but the number of vehicles increased by many times which make difficult to cope with the situation,” he said this on Monday while inaugurating the Nitol-Niloy group’s new products-‘Padma Special Tata Truck’ and ‘Nitatempoo’.
FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and Indian High Commission’s Railway Adviser and councilor Chandrima Roy and Tata Group Country Manager Mukul Kunish addressed the function with Nitol-Tata Group chairman Abdul Matlub Ahmed in the chair.
The Shipping Minister said the present government is pledge-bound to eradicate poverty from the society and urged businessmen to concentrate in this respect to create new employment. The minister said conspiracy was going on to create obstruction to the country’s advancement.
He urged all to remain alert about such evil efforts and help the government to continue the country’s progress.
