Motivational programmes on the usage of iodized salt have been continuing in the district for few months with a call to protect the human body from different diseases and reduce child mortality rate.
As part of the programmes, a day-long workshop on prevention of Non-Iodized Salt was held at the conference room of deputy commissioner (DC) of the town here on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), Gaibandha unit, arranged the function under its Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders project funded by UNICEF Bangladesh.
