In recognition of humanitarian activities, Mother Teresa Research Centre has been introduced Mother Teresa Memorial Award.
Since long, she was not only internationally recognized for her dedicated services but also she was closely associated with the people of Bangladesh during the liberation war in 1971, said a press release on Monday.
Moreover, she was all along active with the people of Bangladesh during various natural calamities.
Golam Qader, Chairman of Mother Teresa Research Centre, declared the names of the recipients for this year.
They are Roushan Ara Bacchu (Language Movement), Nasima Begum and Ikram Ahmed (Administration), S.K. Sur Chowdhury (Banking), Prof. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury and Dr. Bikiron Barua (Education), Dr. Abdul Mazid (Humanitarian services), Eng. Md. Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan (Freedom Fighter), Shilpi Afroza Jamil Konka (Fine Arts), Dr. Ratan Siddiki (Drama), Poet Principal Mosharraf Hossain Mamun (Poetry), Mahbuba Chowdhury, Shamim Ara Smriti (Literature), Md. Azharul Islam (Research), Dr. Uttam Kumar Barua (Medical services), and Md. Azizul Islam (Industries).
