A mother has strangulated her two minor daughters at Latifpur near Police Lines School and College of Bogra town recently.
The deceased were identified as elder daughter Fahmida Islam allies Upama, 07, and younger daughter Taslima Islam, 03 and among the deceased Upama was the student of class one of the primary section of Police Lines School and College ..
Father Faridul Islam, an executive of City Bank, Bogra branch and inhabitant of Sirajgonj district said that his wife Salma Begum beat the elder daughter for doing bad result in the examination and said that she told him that she would commit suicide for that.
He also said that he phoned in the house from bank but he rushed to the house as he did not get any response and after reaching he found that his daughters were strangulated to death and kept in the bathroom and later he rushed them in the Mohammad Ali Hospital. She ( mother) was a mental patient and her treatment was going for two months.
