A woman and her son were electrocuted and three others of the same family injured at Betchori Karbaripara village under Dighinala upazila of the district on Friday night.
The victims are identified as Kalamile Chakma, 55, wife of Jotey Ranjan Chakma and her son Sotya Jiban Chakma, 26, residents of the same area.
Officer-in-charge of Dighinala Police Station Shams Uddin Bhuiyan said they got electric shock as a high voltage live electric line fell on their house during a storm.
Kalamile Chakma and her son Satya Jiban died on the way to Dighinala upazila health complex.
The injured Jotey Ranjan Chakma and his two daughters Enti Chakma, 18, and Milky Chakma, 16, were admitted to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital.
