A young woman and her three daughters were burned to death in a fire at her house in Mirzapur upazila early Tuesday. The victims were identified as Hasna Begum, 30, wife of Mujibur Rahman, and their daughters Mariam, 14, Mali, 4, Mim 6, of South Shohagpara village. Locals said they saw the fire leaping at Majibur’s house around 4.00 am and informed firefighters. Later, the firefighters doused the flame with the help of villagers and recovered the four charred bodies from the burnt house. The firefighters suspected that miscreants torched the house at the dead of night out of enmity. Contacted, officer-in-charge of Mirzapur Police Station confirmed the UNB correspondent about the deaths in the fire. —UNB
