Mother flees leaving 2yr old in tea shop in Benapole

A mother fled leaving her two-year-old child at a tea shop in Benapole Bazar. The incident took place at the tea shop of Tofazzal Hossain in Benapole Bazar around 10.30 pm on Friday night.
The mother introduced herself to the tea shop as the child’s mother. Benapole Port Police rescued the child from the spot and took him into their custody. A police officer is taking the child in his arms and feeding him like his own child.
Tofazzal Hossain, the shopkeeper, said a woman came to her tea shop with her son around 10.30 pm. After a while she left the baby, telling him to go to bathroom.
But after a long time, the woman did not come back and the tea shopkeeper Tofazzal informed the Port Police. Later, the police took the child into police custody.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Benapole Port Police Station Mamun Khan said, the child has been kept in police custody. The child’s family is being searched. The child’s family is also being searched through social media with pictures.
He requested to contact Benapole Port Police Station if anyone could recognize the child.
