College girl murder: Mother demands justice in Barishal

Parvin Khanam, mother of dead college girl Mili Islam, hold a press conference at Barishal Reporters Unity recently demanded justice claiming that her daughter was murdered preplanned and hanged after strangled to death .
She alleged private tutor Punil Chandra Sarkar, mathematics teacher of Barishal Model School and College, trapping Mili Islam, masters’ student of accounting of B M College, in love claiming himself as Muslim.
He was alluring her to marry created physical relationship.
Mother of the victim in the press conference further claimed that Mili was a brilliant student and mentally strong girl.
When became informed that Pulin was non-Muslim and married having wife and children, Mili pressurized him to marry or inform the matter to the Model School and College authourity in default.
Then Pulin requested not to disclose the matter and assured to marry her soon.
Later rented a house at Fishery Road area of the city as a married couple on May 2nd 2019, and lived there at night.
On May 3rd noon , door of the room was remained open and police recovered dead body hanging with ceiling fan after informed by family of the land lord, mother of the victim said.
The legs of the dead body of Mili were hanging from ceiling fan with scarf, but her leg found touching ground. Her mobile phone was recovered from water pot.
Dead body of the victim sent to Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital for autopsy lodging a case (no.02/19) of unnatural death with Barishal Airport police station.
Pulin also become absconding since then. So it was clear that she was strangled to death and then hanged to prove it a case of suicide, mother of the victim alleged.
Later mother of the victim protesting the view of police lodged a murder case (no.64/2019) with Barishal chief metropolitan magistrate court on May 7, 2017 and the court ordered police bureau of investigation to submit report after investigation.
Pulin was arrested by police from Barguna district under section 54 on May 14, 2019, but freed on bail on June 9 and continuously giving threats against the family members of Mili, the grieved mother claimed.
She demanded immediate arrest of accused Pulin for the sake of free and fair investigation by PBI and fair justice by speedy trial.
