UNB, Chittagong :A housewife and her daughter were slaughtered by unknown miscreants in the CDA Residential Area in Agrabad of Chittagong city on Monday morning.The deceased were identified as Rizia Khatun, 50, wife of Rezaul Karim and their daughter Saima Akhtar, 18.Tanvir Arafat, assistant deputy commissioner (West Zone) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), said neighbours of the deceased informed police after noticing the two bodies lying slaughtered inside their (deceased’s) house in the area around 11:00am.Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.Sayeed Reza, elder son of victim Rizia Khatun, said Raihan, a BBA student of Chittagong University of Science and Technology (CUST), killed his mother and sister as his sister refused Raihan’s love proposal.Meanwhile, police arrested two guards of the residential building in connection with the incident.
