Members of Narcotics Control Department (NCD) in Chittagong detained a mother and her eight-year old daughter with 3,800 pieces of yaba tablets from Station Road area in the city on Tuesday morning.
The arrested were identified as Rehena Begum, 46, and her eight-year old daughter Morzina Akter, also a class three student, hailed from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district. On a tip-off, a team of the NCD nabbed Rehena and Morzina from the area while they were carrying the contraband drugs at about 10 am.
