UNB, Faridpur :
A young housewife and her minor daughter were burnt alive in a fire at their house at East Phulbaria village in Saltha upazila early Friday.
Locals said the fire, triggered by electric short-circuit, broke out at the house of Sentu Sheikh early Friday, killing his wife Farida Begum, 25, and their four-year-old daughter Rabeya Begum on the spot.
Sentu suffered burn injuries while tried to save his family members, said Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Saltha Police Station. He was admitted to local hospital.
