Rajbari: At least five people, including a woman, and her teenage daughter and two college-going students were killed and three other persons injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a three-wheeler at Khankhanapur in Rajbari Sadar Upazila on Sunday.
The accident took place on the Daulatdia-Khulna Highway at around 2:45 pm.
The deceased were identified as Rashida Begum, 35, and her school going daughter Taslima Akter,15, from Rajbari Sadar, Mostafa Sheikh, 40, from Goalando upazila, University going student Rifat, 22, and Mohsin from Faridpur.
Local sources said that a Dhaka bound Greenline Paribahan bus had collided hea- on with a Rajbari-bound three-wheeler, leaving five passengers dead on the spot.
Rajbari Fire Service Team official Abdul Halim confirmed the news media.
