The Mahmuda Memorial 10-bed Maternal and Child Welfare Center was inaugurated at Panchbagh Union in Gafargaon Upazila of Mymensingh. Local MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel inaugurated the centre by flying pigeons and balloons and cutting ribbons on Saturday afternoon. MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel addressed the inaugural function as the chief guest.
Director (Administration) of Family Planning Department Additional Secretary Hemayet Hossain, Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraf Uddin Badal, Municipal Mayor SM Iqbal Hossain Sumon, Director of Mymensingh Family Planning Department Abdul Awal, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Tajul Islam, zamindata and former VP of Mymensingh Anand Mohan College AKM Sajjat Hossain Shahin.
At this time, Upazila Vice Chairman Principal Maulana Ataur Rahman, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Mohammad Mainuddin Khan, Gafargaon Police Station OC Faruk Ahmed, Pagla Police Station OC Mohammad Rasheduzzaman, local leaders and other dignitaries of the area were present.
MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel thanked the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the government for special allocation at health department in his area Gafargaon.
