Mosque-based campaign in Kishoreganj to contain corona

Kishoreganj district is turning into a death zone due to the aggressive spread of coronavirus. The death toll is rising every day due to the virus infections. The number of deaths due to the virus is also increasing.
In this situation, the district police of Kishoreganj are going to the mosques and conducting campaigns to raise public awareness to prevent coronavirus infection and to motivate people of all walks of life to follow the hygiene rules.
On Friday, OCs, Inspectors (investigations), in-charges of investigation centers, beat officers and other senior officials spoke in each of the 13 police stations in Kishoreganj before the Friday prayers at the main mosques in remote areas.
In their speech to the worshipers, they mentioned the statistics and painted a picture of the horrors of Corona and urged everyone to be aware to prevent the infection.
They urged everyone to use masks and follow hygiene rules.
Police sources said, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Benazor Ahamed BPM (Bar) has taken various up-to-date activities across the country to tackle corona. Dhaka Range DIG Habibur Rahman has also taken initiatives to prevent spread of Corona in 17 districts of Dhaka Division.
As an initiative of Dhaka Range, the police are conducting a mosque-based campaign in Kishoreganj district.
Police Super (SP) in Kishoreganj Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) told the New Nation that “Bangladesh Police has been conducting awareness activities in this regard since before the coronavirus infection started in the country last year. The police are on the side of the people in this disaster at the risk of their lives. Coronavirus infection is currently creating a very critical situation.
There is no substitute for awareness to overcome this situation. And the mosque-based campaign is continuing in every bit of the Police to convey this message seriously to the public and it will continue, SP added.
