Awami League presidium member and former minister Mosharraf Hossain, MP has opposed the construction of a hospital in the bustling CRB and construction of a gate at the entrance to stop the movement of people.
He had earlier issued a statement to the media from abroad opposing the construction of a hospital at the CRB on the graves of eight martyrs, including the one recognized as a heritage zone and the martyr Abdur Rab.
In a media interview at Nandankanan residence in the city last Friday, he reiterated his position against the construction of a hospital in the CRB. Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said that one fourth of the land in Chittagong belongs to the railway.
I want a hospital in Chittagong. But why should it be in CRB?
This hospital could do it elsewhere on the railway, there is no need to be here. “I was in Dhaka,” he said. I saw in a newspaper that a gate was being built at the entrance of CRB.
