Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain Saturday left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia to exchange views with his counterpart in Saudi Arabia.
The minister has a schedule to attend bilateral talks with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and other ministers including labour, health and governors of Jeddah, Riyadh, Madina and Dammam separately.
According to a release, Eng Mosharraf will discuss with Saudi Arabian government about reduction of migration cost, capacity building, workers’ rights and workers’ welfare.
During the seven-day official visit in Saudi Arabia the minister will lead an eight member delegation including Senior Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office M Abul Kalam Azad and Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary M Iftekhar Haider, Director General of BMET Begum Shamsun Naher and other officials concerned.
The minister is expected to return home on January 24, it added.
