As a pair, the names of Salauddin Lavlu and Mosharraf Karim are very popular to all the viewers. In one side, Masum Reza always writes stories where a vivid description of lifestyle of villagers are expressed nicely. On the other hand, Salauddin Lavlu gives those stories in new dimension under his directed plays or serials. Last time this pair presented a mega serial titled Bhober Haat for the viewers.
After a break of seven years, Salauddin Lavlu again started to make another new mega serial under the story written by Masum Reza. Title of the mega serial is The Village Engineer. Mosharraf Karim is acting in the title role in the serial.
Under the direction of Salauddin Lavlu Mosharraf Karim last acted in a drama serial titled Kobuliyotnama. Recently Salauddin Lavlu has started to make the serial The Village Engineer at Pubail in Gazipur.
While talking about casting Mosharraf Karim in his serial Salauddin Lavlu told this correspondent, “In Bangladesh, Mosharraf Karim is the only person. There is nothing to say about acting of Mosharraf Karim. For the last 12 years, we have been working together. There is a nice understanding between Mosharraf and me in the filed of drama making. It is no doubt that Mosharraf’s acting skill is top class. As a result, it becomes easier to make the play or serial properly. After many years, I have been making any serial under the story written by Masum Reza. I think viewers will enjoy the serial.”
Mosharraf Karim shared his feelings by this way, “I started my acting under Lavlu’s direction in a small role in serial Bhober Haat. Later I acted in versatile roles in several times under his direction. I have a good understanding with him in the field of work. For this reason, viewers always like our works. Lavlu Bhai always works very sincerely. Besides a director, he is also an actor. He has knowledge about lighting, editing and camera direction. As a result, his works become nice works. I am optimistic about the serial The Village Engineer.”
Bhober Haat, Sakin Sarisuri, Harkiptey, Ghorkutum and Kobuliyotnama are Mosharraf Karim’s acted mentionable serials which were also directed by Salauddin Lavlu.
