Moscow to help establish ’71 genocide museum

The Russian government has assured Bangladesh of providing technical support for establishing a museum on genocide carried out by Pakistani occupation forces on civilian during the 1971 Liberation War.
Victory Museum authorities came up with the assurance when a Bangladeshi delegation led by State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid visited the museum in Moscow recently, said a handout.
The delegation visited Moscow on November 16-18 as part of implementation of a project on preserving memories and documents of 1971 genocide of the country.
During the visit, they met acting chief of Victory Museum Elder Eyani Bakev and director of the International Division Sergei Orlav, among others.
