More than twenty-three applicants vie for total 1,375 seats in 22 subjects under six faculties of Barisal University (BU), the only general public university in the division and 33rd public university in the country.
‘Mass Communication and Journalism’ and ‘Biochemistry and Biotechnology’ departments added with previous 20 subjects this year.
The date of seventh intake-test announced to be held under three units on November 24 Friday and 25 Saturday at seven centers including Barisal University campus,4 public and two private colleges.
This year there would be no test for “Gha’ unit, but selected student could change their subject by giving extra fees.
The month long date of taking application through SMS on Teletalk mobile SIM for participation in intake test ended on October 24.
Md. Faysal Mahmud Rumi, Public Relations Officer of BU, informed that admission committee of BU holding meeting on Wednesday finalized the preparation of admission test after scrutiny the applications.
Now 32,214 applicants could participate in intake test under three units for 1,375 seats of 22 subjects under six faculties.
The total 1, 375 seats in 22 subjects under 6 faculties of the university included English, Bangla, Philosophy departments under Humanities faculty, Economics, Sociology, Public Administration, Political Science, ‘Mass Communication and Journalism’ departments under Social Science faculty, Marketing , Management , Accounting and Information System, Finance , Banking departments under Business Faculty, Mathematics and Physics under Science and Engineering Faculty, Geology and Mining, Soil and Environmental Science, Botany and Crop Science, Coastal Studies and Disaster Management, and ‘Biochemistry and Biotechnology’ under Bio Science and Agriculture Faculty, Law department under Law faculty .
