Chittagong Metropolitan Police taken initiatives for more strengthening the security measures in Chittagong shah amanat international airport with deploying additional police force from Armed Police Batallion .
Airport sources said at present about 100 APBN forces discharging durties in airport areas and the CMP authority has requested to deploy more 500 APB forces to the chief of forces. In connection of more forces, CMP has written to the chief of APBN to deploy additional forces to CMP .
Additional Deputy police commissioner of CMP(Immigration) Sarwar Alam told that CMP has requested the APBN to deploy more 500 forces to tighenting the security in airport area.
Sources said the APBN forces have been deployed in airport from October 27 for vigilance against any nuisances and carrying of explosives within the airport areas. Following the directives of Home Ministry, a dog squad consists of two trained dogs with 12 BGB forces have been deployed in the airport recently, sources said.
