UNB, Dhaka :The legal battle for BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman keeps on getting tougher as more courts on Monday issued either arrest warrants or summons against him in separate cases filed for his disparaging remarks about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.Besides, freedom fighters staged demonstrations in various places across the country protesting his derogatory remarks and demanding his arrest.Three courts-one in Dhaka, another in Pirojpur and the rest in Khulna-issued warrants for the arrest of Tarique, also the eldest son of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman and its current chairperson Khaleda Zia, in as many defamation cases filed against him.On the other hand, courts in Chittagong, Dinajpur, Kushtia, Meherpur and Barguna asked Tarique to appear before those on particular days to explain his comments against Bangabandhu. The summonses were issued after separate defamation cases were filed against the BNP senior vice chairman.
