Moot Court Competition held at GU

First Intra-Faculty of Law Moot Court Competition’ 2015 was held at Green University Bangladesh (GUB) Campus recently. The event was organized by Green University Moot Court Society (GUMCS).
GUMCS is a student run academic platform for the students of law to acquire and practice the legal issues from national and international perspectives. As many as eight teams of law students from different semesters participated in this competition with great joy and enthusiasm. After a long battle team ‘Agency Lex’ and ‘Anirban’ have reached at final stage. In the grand finale, team ‘Anirban’ cleansed the championship trophy after a nail-biting mooting session.
In concluding and prize giving ceremony, Mohammad Ataul Karim, Moderator of GUMCS congratulated and thanked all the participants, Runner-up and Champion teams. Abu Nayem Miazi, Chairperson of Law, forwarded his valuable directions to the students for further improvements both in academic and extra-curricular affairs.
Md. Shahid Ullah, treasurer of GUB, congratulated all the participants and organizers for their active participation and great contribution. The honorable Vice-Chancellor of GUB, Prof Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir handed over the prizes among the Champion and Runner-up teams.
In his concluding remarks he categorically pointed out the significance of Mooting for law students in terms of developing the professional skills and qualities. He further encouraged and motivated the students to engage in extended learning programs along with their academic studies.
