According to world famous Magazine Forbs, Moosa-bin-Shamsher has again been rated as the richest man in Bangladesh. His wealth and property accounts for Tk 96,000 crore (In US $ 12 billion). Moosa deals in arms and weapons.
The nine other billionaires are 2. Ahmed Akber Sobhan, Chairman of the Basundhara Group (Tk 3,000 crore), 3. Salman F Rahman of Beximco Group (Tk 2,800 crore), 4. MA Hashem of Partex Group (Tk 2,500 crore), 5. Abul Khair Group (Tk.2,300 crore), 6. BSRM Group of Chittagong (Tk 2,100 crore), 7. Akij Group (Tk 1,800 crore), 8. Chittagong’s PHP Group (Tk 1,600 crore), 9. Ragib Ali (Tk 1,500 crore) and 10. SAlam Group (Tk 1,300 crore).
