The new crescent moon was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh. As a result, the Muslims in the country will observe their first fast on April 14 (Wednesday).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee in the eastern courtyard of the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on Tuesday evening. The moon sighting committee of Bangladesh said that Tuesday, April 13, will be the last and 30th day of Sha’ban 1442 Hijri.
As the moon of Ramadan is sighted, the Muslims will perform Taraweeh prayers after Isha prayers today (Tuesday). Devout devotees will have sehri on the last night of the day on Tuesday.
