The 9th month long International Women’s SME Expo Bangladesh-2015 kicks off in the port city from Sunday (tomorrow).It is the 9th largest gala trade event in the country being held under the auspices of Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CWCCI)at city’s BAWA School premises at Dampara area in city.
Addressing a press conference at Chittagong Senior Club auditorium CWCCI president Kamrun Malek informed that Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, MP, will inaugurate the SME expo as the Chief Guest at 3 pm on Oct 25.
CWCCI director and Convenor of Mela Committee Rekha Alam Chowdhury said in addition to brightening the image of the port city in international forums as city of trade and investment the women entrepreneurs sponsored fair would definitely help to introduced different goods made by women home and abroad.
The delegation of women entrepreneurs from South Asia including India, Pakistan, Thailand and Iran will visit and participate in the fair, she added.
It was informed that nearly 365 stalls including 15 pavilions from home and abroad will display the gala SME Expo.
The CWCCI Chittagong Chapter has been organizing the fair at the 9th time. All preparations have almost been completed to make the fair a success, organizers said.
Gulshan Ali, Senior Vice-President of CWCCI, vice president Ive Hasan, former vice president Kheleda Awal, and CWCCI directors Sultana Nurjahan Rosy, Abida Sultana, and Rebeka Nasrin s spoke on the occasion.
