The month long Bangladesh International Trade and Export Fair-2018 (BITF-2018) will begin in the Port City tomorrow (Saturday) with the participation of India, Pakistan and Thailand.City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin will formally inaugurate the fair at Bandar field of Feringi Bazar area under Kotwali thana in the city at 10 am on Saturday.
This was disclosed by Chattogram Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CMCCI) President Khalilur Rahman at a press conference held at its auditorium at Agrabad Commercial area this afternoon. Khalilur Rahman in his written statement said CMCCI is going to arrange the International Trade and Export Fair for the 5th time in the country.
He said a total of 180 stalls including 10 mega pavilions, eight medium pavilions, 18 standard pavilions, banks and insurance institutions have been set up at the fair venue covering an area of nearly one lakh square feet of Bandar field. He also informed that business institutions from different countries including Iran, Pakistan, India and Thailand agreed to participate in the fair.
Besides, ambassadors of different countries would visit the fair. Seminars and roundtable meetings would be arranged in the fair which will remain open for visitors from 10 am to 10 pm every day. CMCCI directors Lion Hakim Ali, Mohammad Anisuzzaman Bhuiyan, Abdul Awal, Mohammad Rasel, Didurul Alam and M Solaiman, among others, were present at the press conference.
